Get ready for war
Battlefield 1 is nothing like the other World War 1 games; it wastes no time at getting to the point. You can clearly hear the terrifying screams of a burning human at the beginning in the Argonne Forest at the start of every multiplayer game. The focus of this great game is simply the inevitability of death and you will understand that the very second that you start the game. The participants in the game are highly humanized, making this one of the best games of 2016 and a must have in any gamers’ collection.
Most games of this sort have boring single narratives that you probably play over and over again but Battlefield 1 hosts 5 short stories that follow different soldiers in different parts of the world at the time of the war. This offers you a great form of variety for your money and a game that you can play for a long time. While following anyone of your 5 character choices you also notice something that is very rare, the soldiers are not portrayed as heroes, instead they will have you questioning them a lot because of some of the inhuman act that they commit in the game and the voiceovers are not too shabby either. All in all the series plays out almost in the form of a really great mini-series that keeps you on your toes the whole way through.
With all of these characters to explore there is an added bonus, each character’s story has its own focus in terms of game-play. In the first story you join a British tank crew driving through France, the second, you are an American pilot taking your fight to the skies. In the third you are an Italian soldier who is heavily armoured leading men up and through the mountains and so it goes for every character. Every single character in this game is exclusively made with its very own story, never the same for your gaming pleasure.
The realism of this game is on a whole new level and it really gives you a great sense of the war with gory images of dead bodies all across no man’s land, trench rats running in every direction and soldiers fearfully running on fire from their trenches when guards clear them with flamethrowers and all of these are the just scenes in your environment that you are never really drawn to so you can just imagine what horrors Battlefield 1 has in store for you. The graphics are crazy elaborate and you will actually feel like you’re right there in the chaos of the first world war with screams that will haunt you forever, doesn’t that just sound like the best game yet.
Battlefield 1 is a really fun game to play. You are always tasked with completing a variety if objectives and driving back enemy lines by moving forward. It is beyond clear that DICE is giving you great value for your money in this game. You are constantly kept on the edge of your seat and you will be nothing but hooked on this perfectly orchestrated game with all of its gruesome fights and its great use of both mental and emotional triggers that are used to keep you playing until you finish every story available in the game.
If we are going to talk about the graphics in this game, we certainly cannot leave out the map. Battlefield 1 has the most beautiful map ever put in a game; it is nothing short of stunning. It gives you some of the grandest landmark structures to explore and of course, to fully destroy. You will see beautiful castles in the corner of Suez and let us not even start about the idyllic palace in the stunning Ballroom Blitz. Every single map in this game has a landmark with the architectural touch of the gods, but of course these beauties are destined to fall as the battles rage on.
Battlefield 1 is not just another average world war game. It is the best on the market at the moment. From the very beginning to the very end it will fill you with emotions that will feel nothing less than real. Never has there been anything more involving and capturing as this work of art.
