Ever thought of having another great map along the oceans of Los Santos? Now you can really start dreaming. Grand Theft Auto IVs map, the Liberty City will be available along with Los Santos. But it’s not any official announcement and players outside PC can’t enjoy it too.
This is a mod under construction from the great mod team- OpenIV. They have been working on this project since the game hit on PC in 2015. Now it’s somewhat ready to be released but there is no official announcement about the date from the modders. Take a look at their teaser below.
Open IV’s blog post say,”Liberty City is finally coming into GTA V in all its glory,” “Liberty City will not replace Los Santos or Blaine County, but appears across the sea.” There are conditions though. You will need both GTA IV and GTA V copies to run this mod due to legal issues and also this is the only way to co-exist Liberty City map along with Los Santos and Blaine County. You’ll need a downloadable tool to extract GTA IVs map and to create a custom DLC which you can then patch into GTA V.
As for me, this mod will serve great as I always wanted to land my big airplane to another ‘developed’ airport. Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas included three cities and three airports so that we can fly from one airport to another. But in the case of GTA V, I miss it. Let this mod be the solution.
On the other hand, Grand Theft Auto V is still selling well. The game itself has sold about 6 million copies around the world. The game’s still listed on the best-rated game and best-paid game list in the Xbox Store. With numerous free updates and DLCs for GTA Online, players keep coming back for more. Who doesn’t want to be a part of a biker gang, or CEO or even a Crime Boss in this virtual America?
