Smite: Top 5 Most Fun Gods to Play With
As you probably already know Smite is a 3rd person moba game developed and published by Hi-Rez Studios. In this article we’re gonna be taking a look at my top 5 most fun gods to play with. However, do note that this is just my personal opinion after more than 500 hours of game time. Take everything you read from now with a pinch of salt…
Every god is belongs to a different role thus making every role present.
Yes, yes, I know…Anubis is quite a harsh start for this ranking but trust me on this one. He’s my most favorite god to carry games while in party. Why in party you might be asking? -Well Anubis is highly team dependent. For him to work you need to have all four teammates with some kind of supporting abilities. The other way I prefer to play Goobis is on 3v3 joust. But no matter where are you playing with him you’ll need to have high game knowledge and experience along side good aim. Positioning is key for Anubis staying alive and being viable. Don’t play him if you’re new to the game! You’ll most likely get rekt and hate this beautiful death machine. On the other hand he’s the king of Smurfing. Shh, I didn’t tell you that.
This pick was an absolute no brainer. And yes there are some really interesting and fun gods in Assassins category but none even close to Awilix. This Mayan beauty has the most combo reliant kit in the game. For gods sake you can’t even use one of her abilities if you don’t do certain things before. However, connecting all of your abilities and seeing HP of your foes going from 100% to 20% in matter of 2 seconds is as rewarding as it sounds.
Unlike previous god this choice was a quite tough one. There aren’t that many interesting Warriors in the game for me. But the end 2 picks were Tyr and Bellona. However, I’m quite sure that Bellona’s presence is the result of her being OP for the longest time thus making my experience of destroying enemies fun and not the god itself.
Tyr is kinda similar to Awilix. He’s quite combo dependent and at the same time being really tough to master. Tyr’s extremely resilient and almost impossible to lock down if he gets a good early game without much pressure. Not advised for new players!
I was really in dilemma who to choose for this class. Main picks were Anhur and Hou Yi but in the end I chose Anhur. His kit is really interesting. Impale and Pillar are probably my most favorite Hunter abilities in the game. There are many different and viable ways to use both and that’s what topped off Hou Yi’s ricochet arrow. If you can aim which you should when you’re playing ADC then Anhur is a great pick even for a brand new Smite player.
This fat beast in probably the most overlooked guardian in the game. That’s probably because he isn’t a real guardian. Kumbhakarna is 100% support with some soft Assassin touch to him. Yes, indeed, quite a strange combination. His damage in mid to late game is comparable to Thor’s one in late game when he alters his build a bit. But for me the most fun aspect of Kumbhakarna is his ability to mesmerize his enemies for 3 seconds. A requirement to have fun with him is to VET after every successful yawn. Else you’re doing it wrong!
