Rainbow Six Siege’s mystery Halloween event begins today
Rainbow Six Siege’s Halloween event begins some time later today. A player posted a screenshot to Reddit earlier today, in which a customer service representative confirms that Ubisoft’s tactical shooter will be getting spooky in an event due to kick off some time this evening.
Details about the Halloween event leaked last month. We don’t have a name yet, but we do know that the House map will be getting a spooky redecoration, and standard casual multiplayer will feature the map on a pretty exclusive basis during the course of the event. It’ll all be relatively standard spooky fare, with jack-o’-lanterns and other Halloween pap spread around the map.
As well as the changes to house, some scary skins leaked all the way back in August – Jager, Vigil, Thermite, and Valkyrie will all be getting new Halloween cosmetics. Since the House leaks, however, Rainbow Six news has been pretty quiet. The House reskin and new cosmetics could point to a more large-scale event, but Ubisoft hasn’t mentioned anything of the sort just yet.
The aforementioned Reddit post tells us that the event begins today, but the customer service representative wasn’t able to say exactly when. For European players, I’d imagine there’ll be an update this evening, which equates to late morning/early afternoon for American players.
We’ll be performing a maintenance on PS4 and XB1 today, Oct 25th.
PS4: 9:00 EST / 13:00 UTC
XB1: 9:30 EST / 13:30 UTC
Expected downtime of 10 minutes.
