Smite Loki Build

Smite Loki Build

Loki is the ONA. Original Norse Anti-Hero. He’s the tough and tricky, and he loves to get his nose into problems that just aren’t his to mess with. One crazy story about his trickster status comes from Norway, where it is claimed that Loki is the mother (yes, mother) of a horse. A famous, mythical horse. Still…

Loki in Smite is a character with potential. That said, recent changes to the game for season 3 have left him a little funky. Some Loki purists still insist that he has power unbeatable, but we’re not convinced that they haven’t been tricked by the ultimate trickster.
His strengths are speed and high mobility, but he can be a little problematic in a team. Some on the Internet have been suggesting that he shouldn’t be played at all if it can be avoided. What a letdown!

But we think Loki is given a bad reputation. His abilities can be powerful if played correctly, especially since he’s the only assassin character with 100% scalings for all of them. Building power with this character can go super far.

We wanted to gather some of the best builds we’ve seen for Loki into a single guide summary. This is not meant to be the be-all-end-all (by Ragnarok) guide for the character, especially since he is changing in the game at times due to buffing alterations and other considerations.

Let’s get building!

Basic Smite Loki Build

Items you’ll need: Warrior Tabi, Jotunn’s Wrath, Transcendence, Hydra’s Lament, Malice, Deathbringer.

Your ultimate ability will hit for big damage with this build, and you can use your basic attacks for up to 395. It’s a huge advantage to be in critical, where your passive and deathbringer combined will make HUGE damage.
If you want, Heartseeker or Titan’s Bane can enter the build. They should take the place of Transcendence or Malice. In conquest, you should replace Dev’s Gloves for Transcendence.

Loki Assault Build

You’ll need a few different items for this build.

Talaria Boots, Jotunn’s Wrath, Bloodforge, Hydra’s Lament, Titan’s Bane, and Stone Cutting Sword.

Play passively early in the game until you can go on clean up duty. It’s important to keep escapes available and to use Decoy to draw fire that won’t stop you in your tracks.
In the middle of the game, try to use Loki’s trickster abilities to lure enemies into traps. You should be able to stay invisible and avoid big enemies. At the end of the game make sure that you focus on cleaning up all enemies in the area.

Alternative Season 3 Loki Build

This build is relatively easy, but you’ll need to be a skilled player with experience to get the full potential of it.

Warrior Tabi, Jotunn’s Wrath, Titan’s Bane, Hydra’s Lament, Bloodforge, and Brawler’s Beat Stick.

Strengths for this build include his great wave clear and the Decoy, which can create paranoia easily in opponents. However, most agree that the great players can counter him too easily, and he is not a competitive character. That shouldn’t stop you from having fun playing him in non-competitive play. Not everyone needs to be a gamer whiz.

Secret Destroyer Loki

This one is complicated, but it can be really effective in mid-late game play. Loki will seem to come out of nowhere and just annihilate everyone.

Items in order: Transcendence, Hydra’s Lament, Rage, Jotunn’s Wrath, Deathbringer, Qin’s Sais, Titan’s Bane, Curse, Blink, and Sprint. Whew!

This long build is useful for team play and joust. The first five items are important and you need to buy them in a row. Build them all the way before building the next one. No multitasking!

Jungle Loki

Wait, what? Yup, Loki can be played as a jungle god, too. It takes a bit of finagling.

You’ll need Bumba’s Mask, Warrior Tabi, The Executioner, Heartseeker, Fatalis, Winged Blade, and Devourer’s Gauntlet.

Jungling with Loki can be super fun if done right. Pay attention, class!

At the beginning, make sure you help an ally to get more mana. Then you will get XP points right away, and you can have the ally help you to speed buff. You will then be able to do loads of damage to enemies.

Full Penetration Loki

In life as in Smite, full penetration is always best. You should watch out with this build if you have no healers around, your Beatstick will be basically useless.

Boots (whatever kind), Transcendence, Jotunn’s Wrath, Titan’s Bane, Hydra’s Lament, Brawler’s Beat Stick .

And BOOM! The Crusher.

This switch makes the build much more likely to get penetration and you don’t need no stinkin’ healers.
