Trait: Critical Mass

Getting a Takedown will refresh the cooldown on all of your Abilities.

Abilities

Magic Missiles
Mana: 20
Cooldown: 3 seconds
Fire three missiles toward an area, each dealing 147 damage to the first enemy hit. These missiles do 50% damage to Structures.
Arcane Orb
Mana: 40
Cooldown: 8 seconds
Fire an orb that powers up as it travels, dealing 135 damage to the first enemy hit. The amount of damage dealt is increased the further it travels, up to 405 damage.
Teleport
Mana: 30
Cooldown: 5 seconds
Teleport a short distance instantly.

Heroics

Disintegrate
Mana: 80
Cooldown: 30 seconds
Channel a powerful beam, dealing 440 (+5% per level) damage over 2.5 seconds to enemies while they are in it. The direction of the beam changes with your mouse cursor position.
Wave of Force
Mana: 80
Cooldown: 20 seconds
Knock away all enemies from an area and deal 160 damage.

Li-Ming build guide

Let me ask you, what is better than a wizard? Yes, an Assassin wizard! Therefore, here’s our star of the day, and she comes from Diablo Universe. There, she is a default wizard character, which carried over a lot of her traits to Heroes of the Storm. This is Li-Ming build guide.

As I said, she is a ranged Assassin who is capable of dealing an insane amount of damage, but still, requires a lot of skill and effort to be a good Li-Ming player. That’s why I’m writing this article.

Li-Ming, the Rebellious Wizard

Strengths

  • Insane long-range sustained and burst damage
  • Adjustable talents tree which can fit many situations
  • Can be very useful in sieging
  • Great at poking enemies

Weaknesses

  • All of her abilities are skill shots; thus she is challenging to play
  • Vulnerable due to low health
  • Doesn’t have much utility; relies on raw damage

Li-Ming is a tough hero to play, no doubt about that. Still, this doesn’t mean that you shouldn’t try and play. To make things easier for you, here are some tips and advice.

  • Li-Ming is one of those heroes who can swing both ways. If the player is good, she will obliterate the enemy team and significantly contribute to winning the game. However, if she is not up for the task, it can cause problems. Therefore, take a few games against A.I., to see how things work.
  • Always keep in mind your passive, Critical Mass. Literally, ALWAYS. Hence, target those squishy heroes who are already damaged, to bring them down even faster, and reset your cooldowns. Great examples of perfect targets for you are The Lost Vikings, and especially Murky.
  • Your primary poke ability is Magic Missiles. Those don’t need a lot of mana and have a low cooldown. Use it to harass and bully your opponent. If things go south, there is always Teleport to get you out of the tight spot.
  • Speaking of which, teleporting can be used and offensively as well.
  • Disintegrate should be used at the end of a team fight. By then the opposing heroes will have a lot less health, so it will be easier for you to utilize its long range.
  • Heroes with high mobility such as Genji and Tracer can be a problem for you. They can evade a lot of what you are throwing at them, and ask for assistance from your more CC oriented allies.

Li Ming's Mana regeneration is increased by 100% while below 25% Mana.
Power Hungry
Regeneration Globes restore 100% more Mana and grant 10% Spell Power for 20 seconds.
Force Armor
When Magic Missiles damages an enemy Hero, gain 50 Spell Armor against the next enemy Ability, reducing the damage taken by 50%. Can only gain 1 charge per cast, up to 4 charges maximum.
Aether Walker
If Li Ming hasn't taken damage in the last 5 seconds, Teleport costs no Mana and its cooldown is decreased by 2 seconds.
Astral Presence
Li Ming's Mana regeneration is increased by 100% while below 25% Mana.

Charged Blast
Basic Attacking a target recently hit by a Magic Missile does an extra 87 damage.
Triumvirate
If Arcane Orb hits an enemy Hero after traveling at least 50% of its base range, the cooldown is reduced by 50%.
Dominance
Takedowns restore 20% of Li Ming's maximum Health.
Charged Blast
Basic Attacking a target recently hit by a Magic Missile does an extra 87 damage.

Seeker
If three Magic Missiles hit the same target, the third one deals an additional 125 damage.
Zei's Vengeance
Arcane Orb does up to 25% more damage to enemies based on distance. Additionally, it's cooldown is reduced by 2 seconds.
Calamity
Teleport does 300 damage to enemy Heroes near your destination.
Seeker
If three Magic Missiles hit the same target, the third one deals an additional 125 damage.

Cannoneer
When you use an Ability, increase your next Basic Attack by 75% and cause it to deal Spell damage instead of Physical. Stacks up to 3 times.
Glass Cannon
Increases your Spell Power by 15%, but decreases your maximum Health by 15%.
Illusionist
If Li-Ming loses more than 20% of her (max) Health at once, its Cooldown is instantly refreshed. This effect has 4 second cooldown. Passive: Increases Teleport range by 50%.

Fireflies
Drastically increases Magic Missiles speed. Its cooldown is reduced by 1 second and its Mana cost is reduced by 5.
Mirrorball
Magic Missiles fires an additional 2 missiles, but its Mana cost is increased by 5.
Arcane Orbit
Arcane Orb travels 25% farther, doing up to 25% more damage.
Diamond Skin
When you Teleport, gain 20% of your maximum Health as a Shield for 4 seconds.

Temporal Flux
Disintegrate gradually Slows enemies caught in its beam, to a maximum of 60%.
Repulsion
Increases Wave of Force knockback distance by 150% and increases its cast range by 100%.
Tal Rasha's Elements
Using abilities grants 5% Spell Power, up to a maximum of 20%. This bonus is reset when the same ability is used within a chain.
Archon: Pure Power
Cooldown: 10 / 1.0 secondsActive: Activate to enter Archon form, allowing you to repeatedly use Disintegrate, but be unable to cast other Abilities.
Repulsion
Increases Wave of Force knockback distance by 150% and increases its cast range by 100%.
