Trait: Siege Mode

Cooldown: 2 seconds Activate to enter Siege Mode. While in Siege Mode, Basic Attacks deal 20% more damage, have 100% increased range, and deal 25% of their damage as splash damage around the target.

Napalm Strike
Mana: 35
Cooldown: 6 seconds
Deals 164 (+4% per level) damage on impact, and leaves a napalm area that deals 50 (+4% per level) damage per second. Lasts for 4 seconds.
Blunt Force Gun
Mana: 100
Cooldown: 70 seconds
Fire a missile across the battlefield, dealing 500 (+3% per level) damage to enemies in its path.

Sgt. Hammer build guide

To be honest, Heroes of the Storm have some rather exciting heroes. Some of those are famous, while others represent a whole bunch of units from a specific game. This is the case with our hero for today. I give you Sgt. Hammer build guide!

 

Although she is listed as ranged Specialist, our Sarge works like a standard siege tank from StarCraft franchise. However, there are some differences, and to cover them, here’s the guide.

Sgt. Hammer, the Siege Tank Operator

Strengths

  • Decent poke
  • Great at clearing waves
  • Rather high single target and AoE sustained damage
  • Amazing PvE damage potential

Weaknesses

  • Her placement determines how useful she will be
  • Highly susceptible to Assassins and crowd control
  • Slow out of the combat, since there is no mount
  • Specific playstyle and the rest of the team has to follow her lead

Tanks are fantastic to have, but you still have to know how to use it. Therefore, here are some tips and tricks on this matter.

  • To be honest, Siege Mode is excellent; it increases range and damage, but you have to must be careful about it. While used, it makes you a sitting duck (literally) for AoE abilities (I can hear Kel’Thuzad laughing somewhere in the background).
  • Thrusters is great ability due to its movement speed boost but don’t use it too much. It should be saved as a mean to escape and reposition.
  • Spider Mines are your best friends. They will turn you into this once placed. However, watch where you put them since minions can trigger them too.
  • Although you can’t do much to keep enemies away, Concussive Blast is excellent for this purpose. Its damage is subpar, but it will knock back enemies trying to reach your allies.
  • Another useful ability is Napalm Strike. It has a ridiculously low cooldown and can be used efficiently to check bushes and if necessary, clear Zagara’s Creep Tumors.
  • As I mentioned, Kel’Thuzad will wreak havoc on you, but there is one hero who will cause more trouble. Because of her stationary playstyle, Sgt. Hammer is a nice-looking target for Stitches. Once he hits you with his Hook, you can wave goodbye.

Cooldown:60 seconds Activate to increase Basic Attack damage dealt by 35% for 5 seconds. Hitting Structures with Basic Attacks reduces the cooldown of Maelstrom Rounds by 5 seconds. Stores up to 3 charges.

Using Neosteel Plating while in Siege Mode grants Unstoppable for 2 seconds.
Regenerative Bio-steel
Basic Attacks while in Siege Mode heal for 10% of the damage dealt.
Barricade
Concussive Blast creates an impassable wall in front of Sgt. Hammer for 4 seconds.

Tactical Mine Deployment
Moving while Thrusters is active leaves a trail of up to 5 Spider Mines. Additionally, increase the Slow of Spider Mines by 15%.

Mechanical Know-how
Neosteel Plating grants 5% maximum Health as a Shield for 2 seconds. If this Shield is destroyed, Basic Attack damage is increased by 50% for 5 seconds.

Attacking a Hero that is slowed, rooted, or stunned increases your Basic Attack damage by 30% for 3 seconds.
Giant Killer
Basic Attacks against enemy Heroes deal bonus damage equal to 1.5% of the Hero's maximum Health.

Orbital BFG
Blunt Force Gun's missile orbits the planet every 5 seconds. Only the last missile fired orbits.

Upon detonating, Spider Mines reduce the armor of enemy Heroes hit by 10 for 4 seconds.
