Red Dead Redemption: Xbox One the best place to play

Red Dead Redemption was added to Xbox One backwards compatibility list yesterday and many fans of this ‘western Grand-Theft-Auto’ game has been running around stores to pick it up. As I mentioned in my last post the game has gone up 6000% sales rank in Amazon.

Now according to Digital Foundry, the game looks more stable in frame rate than in Xbox 360 or PlayStation 3. The older consoles, especially PS3, struggled to maintain the game at 30fps and even dipping down to 20fps in some circumstances. Screen juddering were also noticeable during camera movements in Xbox 360 and PS3 on a resolution of 1280x720p. The Xbox One maxed the game to a resolution of 1920x1080p and runs at a smoother and mostly constant at 30 frames-per-second.

That makes the Xbox One the best place to play Red Dead Redemption. Read the full article from Eurogamer here

PS3 players can play the game on their PlayStation 4 through the PlayStation Now service.  But it really feels half-broken and considering to pay for the game you already own each month, not a good idea! Microsoft made a great hop above PS4 when it comes to backwards compatibility. Now more than 200 Xbox 360 games are available as backwards compatible on Xbox One and its free of cost. All you need to do is to put your old Xbox 360 disc on your Xbox One and download the game again (file size varies between 5-10 GB), if you have a disc-based game. If you have a digital Xbox 360 game then you can skip the ‘insert your disc’ process. You can directly download the game from your ‘Ready to Install’ list on your Xbox One.  (make sure the game is backwards compatible!).

Rockstar games didn’t say anything about a PC release and I don’t think there will be any. With Red Dead Redemption 2 rumors, mostly it would also continue along its prequel’s path by not making a mark on PC. After all, let’s hope.

Red Dead Redemption is available in the Xbox Store.  Also, so you can download it directly from your Xbox One itself. If you are looking for any retailers, then hurry on! Everywhere’s stocks are running out.

What do you think about Red Dead Redemption on Xbox One and not on PS4? Do you think that RDR is a sole reason to pick the Xbox One console? Fill out in the comments below..

Sometimes I do think GTA is the best game upto date. But no worries! I'll regret my thinking later.
